FIELD OF JEANS Improv
1-Day 6hrs / All Levels / SUSTAINABLE QUILTING
If you make it they will come... and lounge on it. Piece together a dream-worthy park blanket from denim for your next family outing. Gather the worn-out, outgrown jeans, preferably a pair from every family member, or ask your friends to donate. In this workshop we will incorporate lighter weight clothing or stash fabrics to create sashing between denim pieces.
Learn basic ruler-free piecing including simple improv curves. Focusing on the design principle of fragmented space, learn composition strategies for improvising alternative grids while maintaining the architecture of the pant leg.
