Slow as a Slug

I noticed that daintytime was already loading slowly before I upgraded to Wordpress 3.0. After the upgrade the load time was impossibly slow. Whoa to any visitor who wanted to casually browse. I chucked the pretty but sluggish theme I've been using, to start from scratch with something quicker. If only building a Wordpress site was as easy (and as fun) as making a quilt.
