Knitting Notes

Each month we have three choices of sock patterns to knit from, two special and a plain vanilla sock. Sometimes the choices include a "hand" sock of some sort.

For May I decided to try one of the special patterns, Fallberry Mitts by Anne Hanson. Gorgeous in a subtle fingering weight superwash wool, Melody by Jojoland, don't you think?

I had to unravel this first mitt quite a few times before I got the thumb gusset right, but still it took a lot less time to knit than a sock. My feet and ankles are so much bigger than my wrists and hands!
