Improvisational Process Follows Its Own Course

There comes a point in time when the improvised quilt takes on a life of its own. When I started my wool quilt my intention was to keep the pattern as simple as possible. As things evolved complexity emerged. The result isn't exactly what I had in mind, but at this point I can't fight it. It's time to go with the flow and let this quilt be what it wants to be. In other words from here on out it's out of my hands. I'll finish the last few blocks quickly and let it live.
