Day Four at Penland ~ Works In Progress

[slickr-flickr tag="penlandwip" type="slideshow" size="m640" captions="off"]Today my students at Penland worked on a score that I named Modern Block Improv. Any traditional block pattern can serve as the score. Each time it is repeated or performed variations can be made, so that the authentic pattern of the maker can emerge.

YOU can try this at home!!!

My students are working late putting all their variations together into one composition. Can you recognize the traditional block patterns they started with?

I'm off to see the metal work instructor slides!
